On 3 July 2010 Kevin David Brown began cycling from the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa, the most south-western point of the African continent. Cycling 12,603km (7,831 miles) through 10 countries, on 17 December 2010, Kevin reached the most north-eastern point of mainland Africa, the Mediterranean Sea at Port Said, Egypt.

Throughout his journey Kevin raised funds for and the profile of the International Association for Digital Publications, a charity providing access to academic eBooks to students throughout African universities.
